CARE GUIDE
To keep your Cotton Culture bedding looking and feeling its best, proper care is essential. With the right washing, drying, and storage routine, you can help preserve softness, color, and fabric quality for longer.
Washing
We recommend washing your bedding once a week, ideally every 6 to 7 days. Waiting too long between washes can lead to the buildup of bacteria, body oils, and discoloration, while overly frequent washing may shorten the life of the fabric.
For best results:
- Wash on a gentle cycle
- Use cool water
- Separate light and dark colors
- Use a small amount of mild liquid detergent
Avoid hot water, as it may cause shrinkage and weaken the fabric over time.
Avoid during washing:
- Bleach
- Powder detergents
- Harsh chemicals
These can damage the fibers and affect the color and finish of your bedding.
Drying
Line drying is the best option, as it helps reduce wrinkles and is gentler on the fabric.
If you prefer machine drying, use a tumble dryer on low heat. High heat should be avoided, as it can cause fading, discoloration, and fabric damage.
For better drying results:
- Use wool dryer balls to help circulate warm air
- Fill the dryer only halfway
- Remove bedding immediately after the cycle ends to minimize wrinkles
This will also help maintain a soft and fluffy finish.
Storage
After washing, store your bedding in a cool, dry place with limited direct sunlight and good air circulation.
To protect fabric quality:
- Store only when completely dry
- Fold neatly before putting away
- Avoid plastic and cardboard containers
Natural fibers last best when they are able to breathe.
Helpful Tips
- Avoid bleach
- Avoid fabric softeners
- Wash towels and bedding separately
- Use baking soda or vinegar for stain care
- Rotate between 3 to 4 sheet sets
- For a smoother look, place sheets on the bed while they are still slightly damp
A Little Care Goes a Long Way
With thoughtful care, your bedding will stay fresher, softer, and more beautiful for longer.
